About Us

Who We Are

A Collective, Not an Agency

We're not a traditional care agency. Kind River Care is an umbrella brand for a collective of independent micro providers. Each micro provider is self‑employed, and provides care and support directly to clients.

This means you get a genuinely personal service — a named person who knows you, delivered with the backing and standards of a wider collective.

What Is a Micro Provider?

Self‑Employed

Each micro provider runs their own small practice. They are not employees of a care company.

Personal & Consistent

You always know who is coming. The same person, the same face, building a real relationship.

Part of a Collective

Micro providers operate under the Kind River Care umbrella, sharing standards, values, and support.

Getting Started

How Booking Works

1

Speak to us

Get in touch by phone, email, or the contact form. Tell us about the support you need.

2

Match with a micro provider

We introduce you to a micro provider who is the right fit — based on your needs, location, and personality.

3

Agree a plan & start support

Together you agree how care will work, when it will happen, and what it will include. Then support begins.

Transparency

How Invoicing Works

Because micro providers are self‑employed, invoices may be issued in the provider's own name rather than a limited company. We explain this up front so everything is clear and transparent.

If you have any questions about billing or payments, please don't hesitate to get in touch — we're happy to walk you through how it works.

Your Safety

Standards & Safeguarding

All members of this collective are expected to meet our standards, including appropriate insurance and enhanced DBS checks. Documentation can be shown on request.

  • Enhanced DBS checks held by all micro providers
  • Appropriate liability insurance in place
  • Commitment to person‑centred, respectful care
  • Documentation available on request — we never publish sensitive certificates online
